L’Isle au Tresor – ★★★★

The 2018 French documentary film L’Isle au Tresor (Treasure Island) by Guillaume Brac is a beautiful authentic portrait of a water park in Paris. It shows natural everyday moments of the people going and working there and features some great scenes of witnessing the pure joy of youth and childhood, while also giving insight into some of the guests’ mind. Additionally on a sublevel it becomes a commentary on immigration in France. A trip to the L’Isle au Tresor is time well spent.
