The ARTE Media Library is currently streaming Jennifer Fox’s 2018 American HBO TV movie “The Tale”. In her autobiographical feature film debut, the director deals with her own processing of sexual abuse in a relationship in her childhood.
Jennifer Fox (Laura Dern) is a documentary filmmaker and professor of documentary. A rediscovered school essay that Jennifer wrote as a child about her first relationship at school lets her see her first love in a new light and she begins to research her past.
Very worth seeing.
